APPLE fans around the world are now experiencing the shuddering joy of running their mitts all over a shiny new iPhone 7.
But while many people might think it’s a good idea to swaddle the gizmo in a nice safe case and treat it like a newborn baby, not every tech lover thinks the same way.

One brave vlogger decided that his iPhone didn’t need all that mollycoddling.
Tech Rax, a Ukrainian who “specialises in smashing technology for your pleasure”, lobbed his gadget off the Burj Khalifa skyscraper in Dubai – which is the tallest building in the world and stretches to a height of 2,700 feet.
In his video, the vlogger said: “I’m going to go the 148th floor and frickin’ drop test the iPhone 7 Plus.
“Security is 24/7 and I may not find this phone at all.”

The vlogger didn’t mention whether he’d checked to see if anyone was standing below before he threw his mobile, which costs a minimum of £719 in the UK.
But we do know what happened to his expensive gizmo, which didn’t meet a very happy ending.
“This this is fried, it’s totally destroyed,” he said at the end of the video as he tried to use the FindMyiPhone app to reveal its location.
“The impact hit it to the point that I can’t track it.”
i Can’t say that’s a very surprising end to the tale.
